PROJECT MUSIC Community Performances Celebrate Music, Service, and Partnership
This April, PROJECT MUSIC students had the opportunity to share their talents at two inspiring community events that brought together music, service, and partnership.
On Thursday, April 24, PROJECT MUSIC was honored to perform at the Stamford Public Education Foundation (SPEF) Gala—an annual highlight for our students and the broader Stamford community. Held at the Marriott in downtown Stamford, the evening gathered educators, school officials, community leaders, and supporters of public education. Our most advanced students provided elegant background music during the reception, creating a warm and celebratory tone. Later, our top ensemble opened the evening with two powerful pieces, showcasing the talent, discipline, and heart that define our program. We are deeply grateful to SPEF for their continued partnership and for including us in this inspiring celebration.
Just a few days later, on April 27, students from our Concert Band and Amadeus String Ensemble performed at King School’s annual King Cares Family Service Day. Their lively and engaging music helped set the tone for a day focused on service and community engagement. As part of King School’s broader commitment to service learning, this event provided another platform for PROJECT MUSIC students to connect with the community while developing their performance skills in a meaningful setting. After the performance, students and their families enjoyed the festive atmosphere with pizza from local food trucks and fun vendor booths.
We extend our sincere thanks to both the Stamford Public Education Foundation and King School for creating these opportunities and for their ongoing support of our mission. These community performances exemplify how music can bring people together, uplift voices, and strengthen partnerships across Stamford.
