UCONN Pep Band Inspires Students at King School and PROJECT MUSIC

The King School recently welcomed the UCONN Pep Band as part of their showcase program, creating a memorable musical experience for PROJECT MUSIC students. During their visit, the collegiate band members performed for the audience and led sectional rehearsals where PROJECT MUSIC students practiced two dynamic pieces—the UCONN Husky Fight Song and Snoop Dogg's "What's My Name"—for a collaborative performance. The day included an insightful Q&A session where college musicians shared their experiences, revealing that most Pep Band members pursue various academic majors outside of music. This special interaction gave PROJECT MUSIC students the valuable opportunity to connect with UConn students, learn about Connecticut's premier state university, and discover inspiring potential pathways in music and other disciplines for their future educational journeys.
