GE Co-Create: Inspiring Artistry at Project Music's Auction Event
Thank you to everyone who attended our special evening where artistry met innovation! We were delighted to feature an auction of unique artworks that combined 3D printing technology and creative design. The 3D printed instruments provided by GE Co-Create were transformed into one-of-a-kind pieces crafted by local artists Suzanne Heilmann, Jess Licata, & Lina Morielli, as well as Greenwich Pen Women: Leigh Grant, Adrienne Reedy, and Margaret Simon.
Learn & Earn Students Shine at Norwalk Symphony Gala
On May 3, 2024, the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra celebrated its 85th Anniversary with a special spotlight on its collaboration with Project Music. This event highlighted the transformative impact of Project Music in fostering musical talent and community engagement. Attendees were treated to mesmerizing performances by students from Ellington and Teaching Artists, showcasing the organization's dedication to nurturing young musicians and promoting access to music education.

Emily reflects on her journey, stating, "Okay, I'd say it definitely was a process of me doing anything and everything I could to prepare myself for such a big deal and putting all my dedication and focus into it." Despite facing challenges, Emily's unwavering faith in herself propelled her forward. Her gratitude extends to her teachers and the entire Project Music staff, whom she credits for shaping her both as a musician and as a person.
Celebrating Success: The Ninth Annual El Sistema Residency
The Ninth Annual El Sistema Residency was an unequivocal success, and we extend our sincerest gratitude to all the programs whose participation made it possible. From the Baltimore Symphony OrchKids, Johns Hopkins Tuned-In of Peabody Conservatory, Boston Music Project, ROC Music Collaborative, Paterson Music Project, students from the King School, and of course, Project Music, each contributor played an integral role in shaping the unforgettable experience of this year's residency.

Project Music's Program Director attains Doctoral Degree: Meet Dr. Falcón
We are delighted to announce a significant achievement within our Project Music community. Our esteemed program director, Pedro Falcón, has recently received approval for his doctoral thesis in Musical Arts from the University of South Carolina. Pedro, a Venezuelan oboist, honed his musical prowess through El Sistema, enriching his skills under the guidance of renowned maestros such as Livio Varcol, Guido Ghetti, and Andreas Wittmann.

Harmonious Collaboration: The Project Music Collective (PMC) Concert with Music in the Woods
Last Saturday, The Project Music Collective (PMC) partnered with Music in the Woods to deliver an unforgettable concert experience. During the afternoon, part of our team of teaching artists, including Carmen Delgado, Pedro Falcón, and Quan Jiang, treated the audience to a fantastic musical performance alongside harpist Lisa Tannebaum and pianist Suki Guerrier. Their harmonious collaboration filled the venue with enchanting melodies and resonating notes, creating a truly magical atmosphere
Gabrielle Molina to Present at El Sistema USA National Conference
We're proud to announce that Gabrielle Molina, Project Music's Executive Director, will be sharing her expertise at the upcoming El Sistema USA national conference at Butler University in Indianapolis in early June. Gabrielle, who is also the Lead Program Consultant for El Sistema USA, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our organization and the broader music education community.
